How is word size determined?
Each word's frequency (how many times it appears) is counted, then mapped to a font size between the smallest and largest words in your result — the most frequent word is drawn largest, matching how most word cloud tools work.
Why exclude stopwords?
Stopwords like "the", "and", "is", and "of" appear constantly in normal writing but carry little meaning. Excluding them (the default) surfaces the topical, meaningful words in your text instead of function words.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No — all processing (word counting, layout, and rendering) happens locally in your browser via canvas. Nothing is sent to a server.
What's a good use for a word cloud?
