Frequently Asked Questions
Is the wheel result truly random?
Yes — the winning slice is chosen with Math.random() before the wheel starts spinning, and the spin animation lands on that pre-selected slice. Every name has an equal chance regardless of its position on the wheel.
What's this useful for?
Giveaways and raffles, picking a classroom volunteer, deciding who goes first in a game, assigning tasks fairly, or choosing a random winner from a list of contest entries.
Can I remove the winner so they can't win again?
Yes — check "Remove winner from wheel after each spin" before spinning. The winning name is automatically removed from the list and the wheel rebuilds with the remaining names, so you can keep spinning for 2nd, 3rd place, etc.
Is there a limit on how many names I can add?
No hard limit, but wheels with more than ~40 names get visually crowded. For very large lists, consider running the picker on a shortlist instead.
