About Color Blindness Types
Protanopia — Red-blind. ~1% of males. Red and green appear similar, reds look dark.
Deuteranopia — Green-blind. ~1% of males. Most common form. Reds and greens are confused.
Tritanopia — Blue-blind. Very rare (~0.01%). Blues and greens, yellows and reds confused.
Protanomaly — Reduced red sensitivity. ~1% of males.
Deuteranomaly — Reduced green sensitivity. ~5% of males. Most common color deficiency.
Achromatopsia — Total color blindness. Sees only in grayscale. Very rare.
